Power for CB Radio July 08, 2019, 12:45:02 pm About a month or two ago when I turned on the CB radio the last time it worked (its lights came on and there was some noise). Now I removed the radio because I want to use the 12V line for a dash cam - but there is no power on the line anymore. Where does this 12V line go? Does it have a dedicated fuse somewhere? Is there anything else that I could check?KlausPS: When I connect the CB radio directly to a 12V source it still works; it must be the line that suddenly lost power.
Re: Power for CB Radio Reply #1 – July 08, 2019, 03:12:51 pm On my 2003, there are 2 in-line fuses for the CB and Radio located above the brake fluid reservoir (or close) in the engine compartment. They are labeled. Your 2001 is probably similar. If memory serves, the CB and cab radio are wired directly to the coach batteries, so they can be used while the ignition is switched off and without fear of draining the engine battery. I think this is detailed in the owners manual if you happen to have one. Rich'03 MB in NC 1 Likes
Re: Power for CB Radio Reply #2 – July 08, 2019, 06:21:01 pm Thanks, Rich. I found the fuses. The CB Radio fuse was blown. After replacing it the wire has power again (and I hope it stays that way).Klaus
