Our "New" 2006 IB
We finalized a deal yesterday to purchase this 2006 31'IB from an owner in Knoxville, TN.  (I'm trying to post a picture, but not sure it will show up).  Spent a morning checking inside and out, inspecting every window, wall, opening for signs of water, and general condition.  Although 12 yrs old, with 56K miles, it has been well cared for.  Then, I took it to a local Ford dealer with truck service and paid for them to do a thorough check of the chassis and drive train.  No issues at all.

It's not our first LD - we owned the same model in 1998.  Drove it for a few years and then sold it in 2004, I think.  Our last MH, a 2013 Nexus, was totaled in the Florida Keys when hurricane Irma went though last fall.

We have an appointment to have the roof cleaned and re-sealed in March here in Florida.  I'll be working on sealing a few cracks in the end caps on my own.  And I'm going to figure out a way to get a new TV in the same space.  The OEM is 15" X 25" - we have a couple of small Samsung that are 14" X 24".  I'll start there.  Always open to suggestions, of course.

We're looking forward to hitting the road again.

Good news for you. If you decide you want a larger TV, here's what I did in my '02 30': http://www.lazydazeowners.com/index.php?action=media;sa=album;in=173

Edit: I just remembered the '06 already has a larger TV in it, not the 20".

Several years ago we replaced our Jensen 20" with a Samsung 26" which was a perfect fit on the metal plate. I believe I had to drill a new set of holes in the backing plate to match those on the TV.

The only downside is the Samsung isn't 12volt but the AC outlet up there does run off the inverter.

There is a photo of the new TV in the middle of this blog post. Life's Little Adventures: Hyde Memorial State Park, Santa Fe, NM

Thanks for the replies and TV suggestions.  A bigger TV would be nice, but what I really want to accomplish is installing one that will receive digital channels, without a converter.

I tried again to post a photo - just can't seem to make it work.  I'll try again.

Here's an update:
I flew from FL to Knoxville on Monday, March 4, and met the previous owner at the storage lot on Tuesday morning.  Did a walk-around, put the Florida plate on, and started down I-75 South to home.  My first impressions are that it is much quieter than I expected, and the Banks system makes a remarkable difference in performance.  Of course, there is nothing in it.  I took the plate out of the micro, and the rack out of the oven, and put a towel under the stove cover - this isn't our first MH.  No wind noise from the entry door at highway speed.  Noticed that there is much less sound coming from the engine cover area, compared to our previous Nexus.

In situations where our 2013 Nexus, on the same chassis, would have downshifted, the LD just kept climbing with no change.  Of course, these are just "hills" in TN and GA, not mountains, but I think it shows that I'll like the performance when we get out West later this summer.

First night in a campground was at Eagles' Roost at exit 5 in GA.  Hooked up the electric and ran the heat strip.  All worked fine.  Decided not to hook up the water in case there was a leak or other problem - I didn't have any means of soaking up any stray water.

Now we will start the cleaning and polishing projects.  I'm having the roof cleaned by someone young enough to get up there.  I've decided to go the Eternabond route.  Per suggestions here, I think I'll be able to do the two long roof seams from the ladder.  Then, I think a younger neighbor will have to help on the cross seam in front.  I'll work on the end caps and windows from a ladder.

New TV and fixing the bathroom faucet are also on the list.  Wish me luck!

If this is the one I think it is, I looked at it with intention to buy.  It had a pretty significant roof leak at the ceiling fan near entry door.  Brown water collected in vinyl fan cover, stains on and across ceiling, and down wall in kitchen area.

Having just repaired water damage in our current Winnebago I recognized that brown color as water soaked and deteriorating plywood 😱

No stains anywhere on ceiling and wall. And after the rains they just fad in the Knoxville area I think I would have seen any evidence. I inspected thoroughly before the purchase. I’ll be sure and check again.
