Very sad. If the allegations of large-scale embezzling are true, I hope those responsible are punished appropriately. But that won't get back the jobs of 800-900 employees, some with upwards of thirty years' time at the company.

It won't help the thousands of owners who are now stuck with no warranty coverage.  As one owner commented, "We love our 2018 SS Agile, but now every time I look at it, I see a vehicle with no resale value, and wonder what I’m going to do when my Voltstart or Ecotreks or Alde system stops working. Even if I could get them fixed, it’s a choice between that or going on vacation."

And it won't hep the dealers who are stuck with RVs from a bankrupt company. As one lawyer commented, "They are owed for pending warranty claims; good luck. They have expensive new 'orphaned' RVs sitting on their lots whose disappearing warranties have ripped the heart out of the RV’s price, and hence its retail value... a dealer might as well get out a towel, because they are going to take a bath, a deep one."

Nobody wins.

It will be interesting to see if Hymer Europe lends a hand on behalf of dealers and owners.

Except that there is no more "Hymer Europe".  It's owned by Thor industries now.  After the discrepancies came to light, Thor opted not to include Hymer North America in the deal.
