Generator click - no start - no error codes
2005 26.5 mid-bath.  Oman generator.  No error codes, fuel above ¼ tank...this video shot after driving for approx 4 hours.  Anyone have any thoughts?

Hello Joseph and welcome to the LDO Neighborhood.  I watched your video several times and I'm not sure why you're showing the display above the stove?  Are you showing that the batteries are charged or that there is propane?  The generator runs off the truck's gasoline tank, which doesn't show on the display.   And as you said, the truck's fuel tank needs to be above 1/4 full.  (Silent videos are tricky).

At any rate, when you press the STOP button on the generator button, you're priming the generator as you know.  However, I only hold that button for a few seconds and NOT as long as you showed in the video.  I'm wondering if you've flooded the generator with too much gas.  Just a thought.  Have you tried starting the generator at the generator?  I doubt it will make much of a difference since it sounds like the generator is turning over.  My generator owner's manual also states that everything plugged into 120V electricity should be in the OFF position.

Has the generator been serviced to include checking the air filter (every 50 hours), oil change, and the spark plug (every 500 hours)?

I can't attached the Onan Generator Owner's manual, which includes some of these suggestions and a problem-solving check list, because it's too large to upload.  If you send me your email address, I'll send it to you straight away.  Hope some of this helps.

Another thing to consider may be the state of the RV coach batteries. The generator starts off of the coach batteries and needs enough power to get it going even if it cranks. I noticed the coach lights dim when cranking the generator. This may indicate low coach batteries.

Here are some pics of the generator instructions from the LD manual. You’ll notice the section referring to the state of the coach batteries and their relationship starting the generator. Hope this helps.

Good luck.

I had the same thought that Kent did. You might try turning on the coach engine and then try starting the generator.

Once several years ago I let the coach batteries get too low and the generator would not start. Starting the engine and the generator started.

After 4 hours of driving, the batteries should be fine. At least good enough to crank the generator over.
It sounds like to me that maybe the circuit breaker tripped, if all you get is a click.

Check the voltage on the 12V line into the generator while attempting to start. If it drops out, then check at the coach battery terminal under the same conditions. If the voltage stays up, then you have a bad connection or break in the 12V cable to the generator.

Okay, generator started right up this afternoon!!  8)

Things I did:

1.  Unpluged all electronics from the outlets.
2.  Turned off TV power switches.
3.  Very more than ¼ tank of gas.  I was just smidge over ¼ tank when I tried last time.
4.  Added water to house batteries.  Actually, followed maintenance suggestions laid out in Lazy Daze Owners Manual for batteries.  Includes water add and lubricate sliding rails.
5.  Double checked to make sure all power off, including house lights, etc....
6.  Disconnected shore power to home.
7.  It took about 4 iterations consisting of holding generator ignition rocker in "start" position for three to five seconds.

Also to note during all of this, never received any error codes from generator.

Did you check the circuit breaker at the gen set.  Requires going outside and accessing the Gen set from the side of the LD.  I would also check the indoor circuit breakers, make sure everything that will draw power is turned off, heater , ac,  refrigerator  And the like.
