As the Mother of a deployed Marine Aviator I appreciate knowing that our troops continue to be supported. The sacrifice of our Military families for a Country they believe in is hope in a troubled world.
I also am so sad for the families and LD members being affected by the California fires. Stay safe and know there are lots of folks that care.

Sharon--

Prayers for safety for your Marine Aviator, & for you as The Mama.  My Army Mechanic (Iraq x1/Afghanistan x2) is now a veteran due to a medical discharge last year...but somehow I still just see the wrinkled red-faced kidlet in the plastic hospital box from 33 years ago.

"Thank You" to all who have served and for teaching the rest of us such important lessons seems so small, but it comes from a full heart (my WW II dad & uncles didn't talk & didn't join the Am. Legion/VFW/etc.--but my dad brought home poppies to my sister & me every year when we were little--& later to my kids, which I continued for my kids after Dad was gone, & now do for the Grands).   I was blest to learn so much from both my colleagues & clients who were veterans.  In this time when less than 1% of the population answers the call, you are more important than ever.

They were just children.
Now, those who survived, are veterans.
The El Dorado County Memorial Day observance named those who died during Viet Nam,  there wasn't time for the rest.
Yesterday's observance saw the reading of those who died since 1975.
All gave some, those gave all.
Thank you veterans for your service, and to your families for their sacrifices.

After leaving camp this afternoon my friend and I drove up to the Veterans Hospital in Livermore and talked the 5 vets sitting outside in the sunshine. We Thanked them for all they’ve done so we can enjoy such a nice peaceful day. As we drove away they waved and thanked us for stopping by. 😁

What a wonderful, caring gesture.
