Re: How to seal roof rails mounts Reply #1 – October 04, 2018, 06:26:51 pm That job is on my list, too. 😖 I plan to scrub the sealant around the “pipes” with a stiff brush, Simple Green, and hot water, finish with another cleaning with solvent, let the surfaces dry completely, then use Dicor lap sealant (non-leveling, non-sag), spreading it evenly over the “mounds” with a putty knife. Others may offer additional suggestions. As ever, YMMV. 😉 2 Likes
