Our 2009 LD MB - A New Look
The white and black on our cab-over was not doing well, especially the faux black windows.  The driver's side window was developing tiny spider cracks in the gel.  And every time I waxed the black all I really did was to remove more black paint.  In addition, the oxford white was beginning to fade from sun exposure (just my uneducated guess).  So what to do?

After months of fussing about this issue, we finally decided to have a well respected RV paint and body shop in Nacogdoches, Texas (Xtreme Paint & Graphics) re-paint the entire cab-over.  In our judgement, the results are just wonderful.

Last year while trying to remove a bit of road tar off the smaller LD decal on the wheel cover, I successful ruined it.  So that space has been empty for awhile.   After more fussing we decide to display the name of our Rig like many boat owners ... on the stern.   We found a company that makes vinyl decals in a wide variety of fonts, shapes, and colors.  Their website is Custom Vinyl Lettering, Wall Lettering, Signs, Decals, Stickers, Automotive... .  So we ordered a decal for the name of our Rig which is Katie Belle for the wheel cover.  This decal was about $19 to include shipping and it arrived 3 days after ordering.

Our Lazy Daze has a fresh look and Margee and I are simply thrilled with the results.

Hi Ed,

I agree the front cab over looks great! But to my feeble old eyes, it looks like the name on the spare tire cover is "Katie Belle" not Sadie Belle. Do I need to get my eyes checked?  ;D

Thanks Steve.  I wish my fingers had eyes. (fixed)

Most people, when their hair starts to turn white,  the dye it black.   You did the opposite for the LD fauz windows and it looks years younger.
I'm a bit jealous of your rig now, but it will pass.

Great job.

A Footnote:

Many months ago while we were still thinking about our cab-over paint plan, I asked one of the Forum Faithful, who is very good at Photoshop, to help us visualize how our Rig would look with white windows.  Our Photoshop Helper is the quiet type and would NOT like it if I publicized their name.  Nevertheless, their help is reflective of the quality of this Forum's membership.  The first one is the Photoshop image.
