The nice thing about the above setup is I can take the XM radio subscription from car to car to home by just moving the portable XM receiver.

A big sledgehammer should make quick work of that cement wall. 

Do it when your neighbor in on vacation.  Bad wall, bad wall!  :D

1st actual camping review, scheduled an easy (not!) first camping night near Lake Elizabeth, over the grapevine midday, with lots of trucks on the road, not too much fun! LD seems a little wobbly at 55-60, I know some driving experience and possible add ons can hopefully help this. I did gain more confidence as the trip continued to SF/San Leandro area to stay 6 nights with my HS best friend. Kristy and kids are flying in tonite to do tourist stuff in SF. We were told to take the BART, cancel the rental car. Much like LA, you can hardly get there, hard to get home, impossible to find a parking spot, lots of car break-ins, even parked at very nice hotels, sounds fun, huh? I did live in SF 40 years ago...glad my kids are black & brown belts in Kempo  karate

So back to the LD, this is the first time not camping in the driveway, the 27mid bath WAS HUGE when we bought it, but now has shrunk since we filled it with all the stuff we may need "in case". Not sure where Kristy and the kids and their stuff will go, hope they packed light. I'm so happy I didn't buy another Sportmobile or smaller class B as long as I have family that wants to camp. The rear windows are awesome, since I'm a little claustrophobic, don't tell anyone.

Things I could use, a cheaper small, short SmartPlug, as I'm parked in not the best area,  but hey it's free! I've got a standard 110v extension cord from my friends house. I guess I could make one, If I can find the female plug in part, so I don't worry about my longer SmartPlug cord disappearing on future trips. Got a squeaky roof fan. Love the LD dual window covers, found one above the door 👏

Yesterday we took my friends 30' boat out to SF bay, took some great pictures of bay & Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, AT&T Park and SF. Then we had numerous problems/breakdowns. I'm sure we will laugh about it one day, the open water is very unforgiving and dangerous when you lose power. We had to be rescued, cost my friend $1000 in gas/tow charges because he wasn't a member of the boat resucue tow service for $175 a year, lesson leaned if you have and OLD boat!

This is a great adventure!

The guy on the impressive looking inflatable boat claimed it cost $250,000! It was the best looking inflatable boat I’ve ever seen in person! Had 2- Yamaha huge 250’s outboards on the back, they charge $350 per hour plus ⛽️!

Once you have fully loaded your new LD and put a couple thousand miles on it, weight it, to adjust the tire pressure and then have ithe front end aligned.
This should help increase the drivability and tracking. It made a big difference when our LD was new.
You should not have to add aftermarket parts to have it handle correctly.

Thanks Larry, we just all 4 camped for the first time in the SF Bay Area, loving the LD 27MB, thanks to all of you that suggested back in the beginning NOT to go smaller!

We discovered a weird and amazing antique huge arcade place walking on the pier, stuff from when my parents were teens!

The ONLY thing we need now is to add 2-3 more bathrooms to the floorplan, should I call Vince at the Mothership? How many 100 dollar bills should I bring? 🤔🐯🙏🏼

Great to hear and see your maiden voyage went well!  I'll be posting my report shortly (picked up our 24 TK on the 26th of July and just returned from 10 days in the Eastern Sierras).  In regards to the satellite radio, you can unplug OEM (fm/am) radio antenna and plug-in a satellite antenna with the magnetic base.  I did that when I had my truck camper on our Dodge truck.  I simply threaded the antenna wire through the conduit at the door hinge and mounted (magnet) the antenna on the hood of the truck close to the windshield.  I believe even with the LD bunk overhang you'll have enough clearance for good reception (our truck camper bunk was slightly over the windshield and we had excellent reception (never lost the signal).
