rear bath wall texture?
I have 1999 26.5' rear bath.  I have never seen the interior of another LD so not sure if there is texture on the walls similar to that of a house that has the spray on texture on interior walls.  the reason I am curious is I am wondering if somebody had taken it apart to work on the structure of the rear wall.  I have a soft spot on the drivers side right next to the rear window where the rear wall angle changes.  between the window and the corner cap.

the rear window has been re sealed before and i will need to do it soon.

at what point do you decide to investigate water damage?

thanks

The 'texture' is in the plastic coating on 1/8" paneling, Finding the expat replacement can be difficult of impossible.
Many older LD owners repaint the paneling to match or upgrade.

First thing to do when you find a soft spot is determine where the leak is and seal it, to prevent continuing the damage.
When to open the wall up, that's up to you, how bad is the rot, what's the rig is worth, how long do you plan on owning it, how much of the work can you do yourself and how much money can you afford to spend repairing it?

The rear corners of a MB are structural, too much rot and the roof and rear corner(s) can start to collapse, leading to more leaks. This is a critical area  to have rot in and I would want to fix it ASAP.

thank you for the advice.

I will be re sealing the window before winter.  it looks like previous job was sub standard like a quick fix.  "GG" has 20,000 miles on her and is in good shape and the family loves her so it will have to be further inspected at some point.  I will have to put my hands on another LD to see if it feels solid in this spot.

thanks again
