Man Crushed By Camper
Sad. This is a new one for me. Has anyone ever heard of something like this before?

That's too bad and something for people with high profile campers to be aware of. I spent twenty years with a camper on an F250 4x4 Diesel and there were several times camping in the spring winds of the Utah desert that I was worried it might blow over and I hoped the weight of the Diesel motor would prevent that. I put the Jack's down to try and stabilize it a few times and maybe that's what this guy was doing when it blew over on him. Sad story.
Discuss anything with anyone and disagree agreeably. Always be polite and respectful.

These articles irritate me because they are short on actual details. What are they calling a camper? The photo shows what amounts to a miraculous situation that ONLY one person died. 1 "trailer" is on it's side. Some kind of camping vehicle appears to be standing on its end inside another.

The limits (or lack of them) of mother nature are rather scary.

Even long-time RVers drop all kinds of RVs into the "camper" bucket. It's hopeless to think folks will change to the correct terminology.

"This article has a better photo of the 'camper.' It appears to be some sort of trailer."

The caption reads, "Destroyed and flipped over campers near where Kellar died [emphasis mine] pictured above," and elsewhere mentions that "At least 30 other campers were tipped over." Based on that, I don't think we can be certain that any of those photos show Kellar's 'camper.'
