42" TV retrofit photos January 29, 2017, 10:27:36 pm Quote from: J & J Walker - January 29, 2017, 09:01:09 pmWe bought our 2003 IB30 exactly 6 yrs ago w/20K miles... now @ 42K, camped in Yuma, after Qsite and the LD Caravan at LaPaz/Parker, AZ. We began in 2007 with a '96 Midbath; we traded up to get a living room floor plan and still glad we did. Our IB30 two limitations: 1] takes a mile to make a 180° turn (with my wife covering her eyes) 2] weight, like everyone mentions. We so wanted install sat.dish on roof, but settled for Tailgater (DISH). Do have levelers which for us are a must-have. Recently upgraded entertainment to 42" LED on a swing arm that works great. Since most outings are 2-4 weeks only, we keep storage stuff to absolute minimum; ie. not bbq grill, or heavy tools, or etc. etc. also a factor in shopping!! >> Wishes/Wants? • replace barrel chairs (been looking for years) • replace lights wLEDs ••• For prospective LD buyers - Larry's advice = rent and try is solid and sound. 2nd best = go out of your way to find friendly LD owners who will gladly "show & tell" for you.Jack, thanks for your informative post. If possible, would you post a some photos of your 42" TV and how you mounted it?Chris
Re: 42" TV retrofit photos Reply #1 – January 30, 2017, 09:07:26 pm Hi Chris - Sure, glad to share. The actual installation was done by CJs now in Foothills east of Yuma. Going down the road, tv is fully retracted and firmly held by a hefty lock pin (see in pic). The goal was to NOT loose use of the two forward storage cabinets ... and accomplished. It tilts left-right and up-down, allowing for truly best viewing angles. TV is Samsung w/apps, etc. 3 Likes

Re: 42" TV retrofit photos Reply #4 – January 31, 2017, 05:57:06 pm That looks like what LDy Lulubelle's previous family did. It's on there securely, but when we're traveling I boost it up onto that ledge, put a towel over the screen, & run a bunge from the back cabinet knobs. Lynne
