Had to Cancel our Order
We had to cancel our reservation for a new LD at the end of October.  We were in line for a June 2018 delivery. Linda had knee replacement in September and it was not responding. Seen doctor this week and he scheduled manipulation of the knee for January 2018 to break up scar tissue. He says it could take up to year to heal.  On top of that, in Mid October I was rear ended while stopped at a traffic light, totaled my Malibu four wheel down tow vehicle. One week later someone rear ended me again in our other vehicle.

So with Linda not able to travel we saw no way we could buy a LD at this time.  I feared my accident could cause hearth issues for me.  However, it appears God has other plans for me and I am recovered.

On a positive note, our grandchildren told us in November they would be moving back to Michigan from Las Vegas. They are now back and only a 2.5 hour drive instead of a plane ride.

We will re-evaluate purchase of a LD in the future.    For now long days of therapy and healing will continue.

Happy New Year to the LD community!

This is such difficult news for you and your family where words simply fail to convey our feelings.  This is one of those situations where hugs and handshakes do a better job than words.  {{{  }}}  I hope you stay involved with the LDO Forum and keep us up to date on everyone's progress while hopefully moving closer to a LD future.  Take care LD Amigos.

Sad news indeed. Perhaps things will turn around for you and will be able to get the LD you wanted. Best of luck on a healthy and speedy recovery for you both. All the best in 2018 😊

Painful decisions are often the correct ones.  Circumstances change.   Just after we placed our order in Oct 2013,  we found an ad for a one year old model just about what we ordered.   It was on the market due to unforeseen health issues.
Best wishes for the knee rehabilitation.  Keep up the PT, and if things don't seem to be going well, be assertive in letting your doctor know.  Don't run on automatic patient.

Did the insurance company cover your upgrades for towing?  I asked my AAA agent who told me to keep records of this costs to justify reimbursement.   I hope I don't have to test that question.

Good luck and hope to see you down the road sometime, hale and hearty.  Kiss the grandkids.

Ron, sorry to hear of your situation.  Would/could you consider postponing delivery until the Fall, if the factory would allow?  Best wishes for your wife's complete recovery, and hope you have no residual problems from the accidents.

Too late for this, but one wonders if you could 'sell' your place in line, assuming the buyer agrees with your model and option selections...
Sort of a speculative futures trading in LDs, except originated in good faith.

Thank you for all the kind words and encouragement.   It is hard to keep a good pollack down. We just keep getting up!

True to the Lazy Daze[r] spirit--jocularity & adventurous optimism!   ;D

Good luck with the rehab of body & mind.  DR's advice is always in order, but I found yoga very helpful after a bad fall made for a chronically stiff knee--I was to the point I could barely get up off the floor or go up/down stairs (at this point in life I finally understand why the Tin Man needed an oil can!   :P ).

On a happier note, how nice to have your family closer...perhaps some easier memory making opportunities, even without an LD yet under your tree.

Keep us in the loop--

Happy to report Linda and I are doing fine again.  Linda working through the knee replacement and I have no ill effects from the accidents (except I lost my tow vehicle).

We are back in the market for an RV. Our preferred model is the 31IB or 31TB.  We desire a newer model, say 2013+.  Due to long wait we are not considering ordering new at this time, but that could change.

If you are considering selling your 31 foot LD email me at sarz272000@yahoo.com
