Re: Zorries

"...but I rather like your seven letter/two syllables."

The name Zorrie was used as military (USMC) jargon back in 1953 when I first enlisted. I adopted it as a matter of course, along with any number of other terms such as 'Head', Brogans, Irish Pennants, etc.... the evolution to flip-flops and thongs came way later.   ;)

Sorry to interject this trivia into the serious thread of Ladder Feet!  ::)

So just to wrap up on my original posting topic, here's the solution I bashed together for interior bunk ladder feet. Constraints required rubber contact for wood (ish) floor, non-marring, non-slip and sturdy characteristics.  Works well.

A few pics of a solution that works for me:
Materials: Hockey puck (blue, of course, to match the rig) and a few self-drill self-tap sheet metal screws.
Tools: bandsaw, drill, file, screw gun.
Cost: About $5.

I too grew up with the term Zoris, aka zorries, stories and the like.  I got my first set in Okinawa in the mid 50s.   Never really got use to flip flops.

it's been on my list to inquire the dimensions of the bigger plug version in this set... if it's close to the rectangular size, they should be able to jam in there, secured with something....
