Toilet valve problem
Hi all,
Our toilet is not shutting off water flow when flushed. We have to work the pedal to get the water to shut off. Can anyone suggest how to fix this? Does anyone have diagram of how the toilet works? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like you need to replace the water valve; it's the third item on this page. (The part is also available from other sources, but be sure to match the part number with the toilet model.)

Dometic Sealand Toilet Parts

If you don't have the Sealand toilet owner's 'manual' that came with the LD originally, a search for 'Dometic Sealand toilet diagram' (and/or 'how to replace water valve on Dometic Sealand toilet' or similar) should bring up several online sources and possibly You Tube videos of the replacement process.

The cosmetic cover on the toilet base removes with two screws: one inside the pedal to remove the plastic part of it, and the other at the rear of the toilet base to expose the mechanism. The valve may be bad, or something may be impeding the mechanical linkage.
