Re: Director of Outdoor Recreation... Reply #1 – November 13, 2017, 09:23:45 am This is alarming to me. ....Creation of the department was pushed by outdoor recreation businesses and nonprofits in Oregon....Inspired by similar posts in Utah, Colorado, and Washington, the office is expected to become a central point of contact for recreation projects, land management agencies, and the outdoor retail industry. The goal of outdoor recreation businesses is to sell equipment and their core market are the able-bodied who desire a wilderness experience. This means restricting more public land to the able-bodied. And that means no vehicular access. You must walk, ride a horse or paddle.Colorado is a prime example of restricted areas. In between the National Parks and Monuments, and Forest Service lands are dozens of wilderness areas. Many of these areas were created by the We sue and you settle technique that is popular with outdoor recreation businesses like Patagonia. If you are handicapped, suck it up and just look at pictures.
