Re: Re: How to repair a leaking city water connection valve instead of repla Reply #1 – August 20, 2017, 06:35:58 pm Here ya go. I brain-effed my winterization last fall and had to apply this fix. There is also a good description of the fix at the Companion. I did not remove the entire fixture and instead inserted the parts. You need a helper to hold the "golf tee" in while you attach the spring and ring.PS - I bought a donor valve instead of putting in the old pieces. These valves differ so if you go this route take your golf tee to CW and compare the sizes of the valves there. There were a couple choices at my CW and the large end of the golf tee were of different sizes.https://youtu.be/Vy5ISONusNk 2 Likes

As mentioned many times, a picture/video is worth a 1000 words. This post is bookmark worthy IMO. Thanks for the post.P.S. What was the word for the Double Letter Score ... water?
Re: How to repair a leaking city water connection valve instead of repla Reply #4 – October 22, 2017, 07:50:49 pm Good video. My problem is not the CW leaking but makes an awful high pitched sound when I turn on any inside faucets, and it doesn't matter if I'm hooked up or not, and according to Vince that's what he says is the problem and he doesn't have a fix. Can anyone help me with a solution for those? Thanks in advance if you do.
