Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but Safari won't let me open this--says it "can't find the server www.amazon.-retiree-nomadic-army"

Search for /meet-camperforce-amazons-nomadic-retiree-army and the article comes up with Chrome.  However, when I cut & pasted the link to this post, if failed as above.

I think something must have gone wrong when Ray posted that link. The visible text is a valid link--you can get to the article by copying it and pasting it into your browser's address bar--but clicking on it tries to open a truncated Amazon link.

Sysops: this may be a bug in the forum software. I tried several times to create clickable versions of the correct URL, but the same thing happened to my posts each time. I had to resort to TinyURL to get a working link. Here it is:

Sorry, folks.  I was not able to open the link, even though I posted it.  I think the best way is to copy and paste into a new window, as has been suggested..  It is a great read, and many folks will find it of interest.

Edit to post:  I see that there is a very small Amazon logo the is the first character in the link.  Do not copy that icon into the paste.  I think that is the mis-direct.

After reading the work camping article, I sure hope our financial house of cards stays up until we kick the bucket.
I don't want to spend my last years working in a warehouse for Amazon.
I want to spend it buying stuff from Amazon.

Thanks to Andy for posting the correct link, and thanks to Ray for bringing the article to our attention; eye opening indeed! The Great Recession had a life changing effect on many folks, one that continues to this day. You would be hard pressed to have a friend or family member not affected by it, perhaps even yourself. 

Larry, I'm hoping our financial house of cards lasts a little longer than that since we have kids and grandkids to consider. I certainly don't want any of them walking 15 miles a day on concrete warehouse flooring when they are in their 70's!

Actually I found the article difficult to read.   I certainly was impressed at this couple's ability to keep a positive outlook and move forward despite some significant hurdles.  This article brings to mind that old saying, "There but for the grace of God ..."   Perhaps the reason that article was difficult for me to read is because it could have happened to us too.  I'd like to add my thanks to the OP for this posting this article.

Counting blessings.

We have friends who were all set with a nice retirement from Bell South. They lost it all, and had to sell their home and go back to work. Rebuilt the nest egg as realtors. Then lost it all again after 2009.  She went to work in the gift shop of the local casino, he kept plugging away at the real estate business.  Every day she gushed about how blessed they were that she had the job at the casino. Things have turned around, again, and she left the casino job to focus on real estate.

Money comes and goes, but attitude is fundamental. We learned a lot from those two. We are blessed to know them.
