Texas Toll Tag Interoperability
While on a recent trip, we learned that our Texas Toll Tag is accepted on toll roads in Oklahoma and Kansas.  The following from the FAQ on the NTTA website.  The charges were a discounted rate versus the cash payment at a toll booth.

Will the TollTag work on Kansas Turnpike Authority (KTA – K-TAG) and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA - PIKEPASS) toll roads?

Yes, the sticker version of the NTTA TollTag will work as a payment method on all KTA and OTA toll roads.  Discounted KTA and/or OTA tolls will automatically be deducted from the TollTag members’ account balance.

Perhaps other people are like us didn't know this information?  Hope it helps anyway.

For full time RVers or anyone who intends to travel nationally, this is a good thing to read up on.   While many of the toll booths are switching to unmanned electronic scanning, the nation still contains a number of incompatible systems.  There is/was a congressional mandate for the toll systems to interoperate by October 2016, but it hasn't happened yet and is unclear when and if it will happen.  With no transponder sensed, most automated booths will take a picture of your vehicle tag, find out who it is registered to and mail you a bill.  But for full timers or for long trips, receiving and paying the bill before the payment period ends and penalties can be imposed could be a problem.  In most parts of the country avoiding the toll highways is usually not too big a problem.  But particularly in the northeast, avoiding bridges and toll highways is a lot less practical.  I believe that the Texas system will soon be interoperable with the SunPass system found in the southeast.
