Not so solid ABS light May 01, 2017, 09:28:15 pm Near the end of a 300 mile weekend trip I noticed that the ABS light on my dash was on steady. When I arrived home I shut the engine down, waited 3-4 minutes, then re-started engine again. The light once again (after flickering on/off) came on solid.Fast forward to this AM... when I started the engine the symptoms were the same, flicker on/off and then came on solid. However, on my way to top off the fuel tank, I hadn't gone two blocks when the light cleared itself and I've not seen it since.What's going on?

Re: Not so solid ABS light Reply #3 – May 02, 2017, 02:14:17 pm Granted that there are several possible causes for this malady but it's unnerving to have an intermittent problem.Prior to the Lazy Daze I also owned two Ford E Series window vans, '84' and '94. I do not recall which but one of those had ABS problems also... turned out to be a speed sensor change that finally cured it.

I had it replaced, now to see if I got lucky or not. I hate intermittent problems!Trouble Codes read out as: C1230 (Rear Speed Sensor Circuit Fault) and C1229 (Rear Speed Sensor Coherency Fault). 1 Likes
