Shower tub as Laundry machine! July 31, 2017, 11:55:19 pm We read a similar tip in these forums many years ago. Just tried it with shockingly great results! Been boondocking a lot this summer and didn't want to waste time at a crappy laundromat in an undesirable location...Instead we filled the tub with about 10 gallons of warm water, loads of clothes and some detergent. 2 hours of twisty road driving to our next remote dream spot and our clothes were very clean! Hung them to dry and all was good. Tub was pretty dirty though... a good sign in this case.

Re: Shower tub as Laundry machine! Reply #2 – August 01, 2017, 03:04:33 pm I use a 5 gallon pail with screw on lid adapter( Ace Hardware). Rinse them in the grass with a hose, laid the clothes on the table to dry. No worry about water slosh on the floor. Leaks land in the tub. 1 Likes

Re: Shower tub as Laundry machine! Reply #5 – August 01, 2017, 08:57:07 pm When we need to do laundry, about every other week, we make sure a campground with laundry facilities is in our plan. Combined with the visits to friends and family along the way, we have only used a laundromat once on the road. Using multiple machines, it went so fast I barely had time to thoroughly peruse the liquor store next door.
