Tv replacement in 2002 MB
I replaced my little 13" tv with a 19" with DVD. I didn't like how you could only see the tv well from one side of the coach. So make a bracket to hold a articulated mount. I think it turned out pretty good.

That's a good lookin' mount. Please tell me what, where, how much!

Also, what TV and what DVD player compatible with 12-volt.

I have been thinking about this for a while, still have the original in my 2000 MB.

Thanks!

Thanks Rob,
It is a NAXA 19" TV/dvd combo.
I used this mount from camping world Master Mount Locking Cantilever Mount, Small - McNaughton 94139 - TV...
To hold the mount I bought a couple steel shelf brackets 8" x12" and attached a 1/8" x 6" x 12" aluminum plate to them. To get this to sit at the right angle I put 2 pieces of 1" x 10" bevel cedar siding under the bracket as shims you can see in the second picture. Stained with minwax natural stain to match color of cabinet. Painted my bracket black to match the camping world mount. And screwed the mount to the cabinet using #14 stainless screws. It was after I had the tv mounted that I noticed it was crooked when I swung it out. So I made a swivel to go between the tv and mounting arm. The swivel was just 2 pieces of 1/8" x 6" x 6" aluminum that I put a stack of 3/8" fender washers in between the plates and bolted together with a 3/8" bolt with nylock nut so I could adjust the pressure of the swivel. This still was not quite secure enough for my liking. So I drilled and taped a 1/4" hole in the edge of the swivel a put a thumb screw in it to be able to lock it in place. It now worked perfectly. And it is very sturdy.

Rob I forgot to mention that the cabinet behind the original TV is not finished inside and is pretty ugly. So I stole one of the wifes placemats that match our fabric color and hung it with tacks  behind the new tv to cover the unfinished areas LOL.
Also to load the dvd player the tv has to be swung out.
And the whole cost was around $200 to $250 but I had some stuff laying around. Like the aluminum.

Rob also one thing I should mention about the NAXA tv. The default settings are terrible. The picture would almost disappear when viewing from the slightest angle. Like when laying on the bed. But just making some setting changes and it has a very good picture from any angle.

That looks really good. I mounted an arm on the outside of the cabinet. Yours looks a little better. Now if I could figure out how to make that slanted cabinet a usable space.

Used to carry DVDs, but storage was a big issue, and the extra mechanical device a source for problems. Now I transfer everything to a portable hard drive - 2TB will hold a ton of movies and TV shows, in about the space of a single DVD case - and play them on the TV using a media player. The sealed hard drive is the only moving part.
