Lazy Daze Covers May 08, 2017, 05:33:21 pm Hi, Lazy Daze owners.........we are buying a cover for our rig and wondering if anyone prefers one type over another? The prices range from $150 - $600. That is a big price range?

It's like tire covers, used a few times and then set aside and forgotten.Imagine how much soap, water and wax you could buy for the same price?Now maybe it would be okay for long term storage but I don't let the grass get that long under my L.D. 2 Likes

The Adco camper covers wore down the paint at the corners of our camper. Grrrrr... Then a friend fell of the top of his camper while putting his cover on and seriously broke his ankle, requiring screw and permanently disabling him. For twice the cost of two camper covers and one boat cover, we put this in. I love it! I figure I'll save money in the long run, assuming we keep up the boating and RVing fun. If it reduces or eliminates the chance to fall off the wet top of the Lazy Daze, it will be money in the bank! 3 Likes

Re: Lazy Daze Covers Reply #6 – May 09, 2017, 05:20:22 pm I use an Adco cover on my '03 MB. I live in NC, where trees and the things that fall from them are the main issue. We have gobs of pollen and catkins in the spring, and leaves a plenty in the fall. I'm on my 2nd SFS Aquashed; the first lasted ~4 years. I use a fiberglass hoop designed for boat covers to keep the top arched over the rear of the coach. This keeps leaves and water from pooling in the center of the luggage rack area. I tilt the RV with levelers so water easily runs off.A garage or carport would be preferable, but the cover works well around here for keeping tree junk off of the coach.I can put it on in ~10min and take it off in ~5. I do watch the weather before a trip so I don't find myself rolling up a wet cover. One day I'll probably fall off the roof while carrying the thing up there and finally build a garage! I don't see myself using the same system when I'm 65.Many people give up on them so check craigslist locally for a deal.Rich 2 Likes
