How would you like to drive here?
No signals.  No signs.  No Stop or Yield controls.  Striping only on the approaches.  No0 separation of vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians...

The original link sent to me was just the video, on YouTube.  A bit of research found that “Between 2004-2006, the intersection witnessed 237 major accidents or 8% of all accidents in Addis Ababa.”  That link is below.  That’s just MAJOR accidents.  I would expect there were thousands of minor accidents.

Wow.

Footnote - At one of the Institute of Transportation Engineers programs I attended for continuing education units, I met a traffic engineer from sub-Saharan Africa.  We had lunch together, and I asked him about traffic engineering where he lived.  He said his biggest frustrations were that he had the knowledge to improve so much but he could not get political support for the most basic things such as signing and striping, and that even when he could, there was no enforcement, nor was there ANY observation of or respect for the devices.
