2005 26.5 for sale
Just saw this for sale in Morro Bay. Looks like a rear bath model. Only 21,000 miles!

Just a few observations: overpriced by about $12-15,000.00, no close-up/detail photos of the exterior or roof, no photos of the bath area, a listing that states that it's an "8 cylinder" (if the owner doesn't know the engine size....?), and a 12 - year-old rig with 21,000 miles, i.e., driven about 1750 miles per year (if averaged).

Going only by what the listing states (and not saying that the rig is not a good deal, but), anyone considering it might want to check out the condition very carefully.

As ever, YMMV.

Totally agree Joan...

Mine's a '04 and is not nearly as oxidized as that one. Surely it's the Triton V-10! I'd bet it's been sitting idle for long periods. Too bad this wasn't listed earlier, a lot of folks at the MB GTG would have probably wanted to scope this out.  ::)

Overpricing of an RV consigned to a dealer is SOP; obviously, the dealer is looking for the greatest amount of profit and the least amount of return to the consigner/owner that can be negotiated. From various motives, some private owners try similar tactics, and some are successful at selling even a beater rig at an inflated price because not all buyers do the necessary homework to avoid getting skinned.  ::)

This dealer might want to set the hook (is the sun out in Poulsbo yet!?  :D ) and do a "faux sale", i.e., put a big slash through the current asking price, and trumpet a lower price (but still well over a realistic number), larger and in a different color, polish the thing to the max, move the rig to a space away from others to showcase it, list every positive feature on visible, well-placed signs around the rig, and offer a few buyer "perks" (that cost little or nothing but sound good!); a smooth-talking salesperson with a "sincere" demeanor who can sell the "fun lifestyle potential" while minimizing the rig's warts could help a sale, too.  ;)

Well, I never said it was a good deal, just that it only had 21,000 miles!  :D  So Joan, in your opinion, what would be an acceptable yearly average for mileage?

Hippie Fisherman,

Congrats on your purchase.  Lots of miles and great experiences left on a LD with 65k on it.  You'll have the LD smile tomorrow this time.

I'd like to be able to zoom in on your photo, my old eyes are struggling a little, but if I'm not mistaken, that's a dandy walleye you're holding up!  I caught one about like that one up in Canada on a trip with my dad many years ago, thought I had the bottom of the lake on my hook for a while.

Welcome and happy travels!
