Painting in Mexico
I'm in Puerto Penasco, (Sonora) Mexico and am seriously thinking going to have the bottom (where the cargo bins are) of my 1998 26.5 mid-bath repainted where the dark gray bottom is. 

Fortunately or unfortunately (depending upon your perspective), I have the Lazy Dazy with the year of the "funky paint job."  Someone actually today asked me if I was the person with the turquoise blue Lazy Daze.  To me the "white" looks like a cream color and the large upper strips are somewhat of a taupe color and almost match my Honda CR-V. 

Regardless of perspective, the upper paint looks fine - it's just the bottom layer where the cargo bins and wheel well covers are that need a refresher.  The "bottom" paint is obviously different from the upper paint job.

I can either have the bottom done (all the way around and the three stripes immediately above removed for $400 USD OR have the stripes added (by painting) for $600 USD.  I'm leaning toward the former since the lower stripes don't impress me that much and if I change my mind I can have them added later.

There's also an awesome detailer here who has painted murals on the rear and/or sides of RV's.  Pretty amazing designs done from any photo.  I've already had my sofas/dinette/driver's and passenger seats recovered from the previous two years with amazing results. 

Any thoughts?

The lower body, below the floor line, is made of fiberglass.
The paint doesn't age as well the upper, aluminum panels.
It's normal for lower paint to decay faster.

$400 sounds extremely low for that much painting.

Just a thought, what kind of paint will they will be using for this job? Hopefully 2 part polyurethane. Show us photos when done. love to see it

Have him paint the front fake windows to look like two smiling eyes. I've seen that on the odd occasion and it looks great. Or maybe Betty Boop eyes. Or sunflowers. Or....
