Overnight campsite/parking place needed near Cerritos, CA night of Wed., Mar. 8
Perhaps you SoCal folks can provide some info for me. I will be traveling to the Morro Bay gathering via Cerritos where I have to make a stop Thurs. morning the 9th. I would like to find a place to overnight on Wed. Mar. 8, close to Cerritos so I can leave Cerritos Thursday morning and boogie up to MB midday. I have checked out the WalMarts in the area and all appear to be closed to overnight RVers. I have not been able to find any campgrounds or RV parks in the general area of Cerritos. Any suggestions will be welcome.

Chris,

Long Beach is very near Cerritos and though I have never stayed at the RV Resort downtown it is right off of the LB Fwy and is a nice facility.

Not cheap by any means. Welcome - Golden Shore RV Resort

It's actually about a mile from my home just on the LA River. That's about all I've got. You could stay in my driveway, but then I'd have to park my rig on the street and people drive like mainiacs down my street.

Chris, do you have access to military campgrounds? If so, I think there is a RV park at Seal Beach Naval Weapons Center.

Edit: Looks like another one closer to Cerritos at Los Alamitos Army Camp, about 6 miles away.

Thanks to those of you who offered suggestions. I now don't have to stop in Cerritos and will be heading directly from Denver to Morro Bay - weather permitting.
