Nice set of photos and articles.
The French and Germans are just as crazy about RVing as Americans.
If you doubt me, next time you are in the South of France, visit the Camargue, where the Rhone river meets the Mediterranean Sea. We found thousands of Caravans, Class Cs, Class As and all sorts of camper vans, parked on the beaches.

You hit my funny bone today Don & Larry... I had almost forgotten that Caravan is equivalent to Travel Trailer in Deutsch.  Thankfully I was able to read those advertisements using what little of the language that I remember and did not have to fall back on my Wörterbuch.   O:)

Excellent material!
Vohnmobil, Campingcar, Caravan, Roulotte, all terms for that home on the road that speaks to the gypsy blood in us all.

I'm thinking of a truck camper, next time around.
Shared a city parking lot in CO with this fellow last summer. It's his home.

Speaking of caravans, my next door neighbor's sister just got one of these really cleverly built Alto Safari Condos (a la Teardrop) with a raisable roof. Take a peak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWHZqhfLTTs

While the French and Germans may love their Caravans, the English seem to have a different opinion of them as evidenced by this episode of Top Gear.

I pity the fool who gets in their way.

Certainly they have more respect for the True Motorhome. Right?

Well, maybe not.
