What Are You Doing For New Year's Eve?
Wanted to wish all of you a Happy 2017, and hoping to meet some of you in the upcoming year!

We will be spending the evening in as we are about to get hit with our next winter storm in a few hours with about 6" of snow expected.  A nice fire, a little wine and ice cream, and a lot of Twilight Zone marathon . . . I know, weird, right?

What will ya'll be doing tonight?

Weird? Twilight Zone? Never! Got every episode on Laser Disc. Got a pack of Klondike Bars in the freezer.

Sounds like the perfect way to spend the last night of the year. Now if I could just find my "cook book" I could mix up something really special.

A wine float, now that may have possibility's.  Even for a basically non wine drinker such as myself, I hope you all have a great 2017..

<smile> On New Year's Eve Lizbeth and I were driving down I-5 having made it over the mountains in Oregon and Northern California.   We parked overnight on the 30th at the Olive Pit in Corning then hit the road to Bakersfield.    So on New Year's Eve I treated my  long suffering wife to a great night camping in our 'favorite' big box store parking lot - yes WalMart.    Nothing says I love you and have a happy new year like having a In and Out burger  and an  over night stay in a WalMart parking lot.

COLDDOG

Just three miles south of Corning on the west side of I-5 you could have stayed the night for free in the trucker's lot at Rolling Hills Casino, or even in their full hook-up RV Park for $28/nite.  ;)

The Casino has an all-you-can-eat Friday night Sea Food Buffet that is one of my favorite destinations.  ;D

Where are you headed, Colddog? You're passing near my neck of the woods!

We stopped at the Olive Pit a few years back. As one who enjoys sampling different kinds of olives, it was awesome!

We are 'camped' out in the Joshua Tree National park area.   Plan a few weeks here then to 'Q'  - yea Burning Man for old folks.   Love meeting up with my tribe all 250,000 million of us.   Do love the big tent RV show.  Never knew I needed all that stuff.
