Front running lights November 23, 2016, 07:35:01 pm The five yellowish orange, front top running lights on my '91, 27'RB are in need of replacement. The lenses are cracked severely. They are marked with the letters PM in the center and DOT P2 PC85 around the edge. They are 21/2" in diameter. The cover seems to snap on. Does anyone have any idea where I can find just covers OR the entire fixture? What have y'all done"?Thanks in advance. Dale from Downey.
Re: Front running lights Reply #1 – November 23, 2016, 07:51:42 pm Dale, I don't know if the clearance light covers on your 1991 are the same as on my 2003, but, if so, they're Peterson 102-15A . Here are three online sources:Peterson Manufacturing 102-15A Round Clearance Side Marker Lens Only |...PM 102-15A Amber Repl. Lens Round Clearance/Side Marker Replacement Lens –...Peterson 102-15A Amber Replacement Lens For V102RAn auto parts store can also order them for you; I ordered front lens replacements recently and found this option to be cheaper than an online source - no shipping charges. (Note: "Lights" is misspelled in the RVUpgrade store link, but the link was copied and pasted, so that's on them! )Joan
Re: Front running lights Reply #2 – November 23, 2016, 08:16:52 pm Not the same sizi I'm thinking. Mine are 21/2". Couldn't find a reference for 21/2".
Re: Front running lights Reply #3 – November 23, 2016, 09:19:34 pm Try going to e-trailer.com and searching for "MCL57RB"I've found that etrailer.com has just about anything RV related that anyone could want.

Re: Front running lights Reply #5 – November 23, 2016, 10:45:08 pm While they do list coffee makers their search function keeps returning generators. Could this be the first step in the process of making a cup of coffee? I also noted that they offered 12v coffee makers. 2 Likes
Re: Front running lights Reply #6 – November 24, 2016, 12:49:25 am I replaced the broken clearance lights on my Lance camper (I hit a crow at speed and tore the clearance light strip right off with only two wires sticking out of the camper). The replacement lights are no longer available, so I found a LED clearance light strip and I really like the way it turned out. Relatively inexpensive, simple replacement and it looks good.No help for the crow.Harold
Re: Front running lights Reply #7 – November 24, 2016, 04:26:28 am Hi Jim and/or Gayle. No Travasaks, but I did find a "superbag" sleep system at RVupgrades.com that look very similar to our older Travasack in King size, that will need replacing soon. Dale, you really don't want to replace the marker light fixtures. They are 'really' glued in and sealed in typical LD fashion. My amber lenses sit in the sunlight, and after 16 years I'm on my 5th set. New ones snap right in; about $1.50 IIRC each from the mothership. Now that they have gone to LED, they might not stock them. I was going to switchover to LED's, but its not about the bulbs, (or really power drain either). The lenses are really easy to replace. The plastic on the LED lights might not last any longer, and would be more expensive. RonB 1 Likes
Re: Front running lights Reply #8 – November 24, 2016, 09:15:42 am Mine are 21/2". Couldn't find a reference for 21/2".-----The Peterson 102-15A replacement lenses have a diameter of 2 1/2"; I just measured one. The PM 102-15A replacement lenses may not be the correct application for the clearance lights your 1991, but they are 2 1/2". (NB: I agree that etrailer is a good website; I've ordered from them, and they offer a broad product selection, very competitive prices, fast shipping, and good customer service. I didn't see any lens replacements when I plugged in the MCL-57RB number; complete lights, but no lens replacements. Didn't find the PM 102-15A replacment lenses on their site, either, which is odd, since that lens is pretty common. )Joan
Re: Front running lights Reply #9 – November 24, 2016, 09:38:49 am I replaced mine with Pederson's lens covers from the local auto parts supply. I've seen them in almost every auto parts place. As the Brits say, a "bog standard" part. Nonetheless, I like to take an old one in to compare for fit of the little things like the Ridge that holds them in place.
Re: Front running lights Reply #10 – November 25, 2016, 06:52:27 pm Still unable to find the clearance lights I want. B100-15A (amber) and B100-15R red. They're shown on the Peterson web site , but it doesn't tell you where to buy retail. I left a message on their machine. The 104 is a plug in and wired differently.

Re: Front running lights Reply #13 – November 27, 2016, 12:02:59 pm On Monday I'll try calling Peterson Manufacturing direct. I tried Napa, no luck. I'll try Lu's Lighthouse in Norwalk. If all that doesn't work, I'll cahange all 5 amber lights in the front to the B102 and then have a brew 102.
Re: Front running lights Reply #14 – November 27, 2016, 01:27:27 pm DaleUnless the bases of the lights are breaking up, you really do not want to replaced them. As mentioned before, they are glued in place and are a PIA to replace. If you can not find properly fitting lenes, I would prefer to use loose fitting lenses, attached with a few dots of glue, such as Goop. A small amount of adhesive will keep the lenes in place while still being able to remove them, in case a bulb burns out.

Re: Front running lights Reply #16 – November 27, 2016, 11:02:27 pm What Larry said. I have been replacing marker lights as they go out due to poor grounds. PIA. My least favorite LD "upgrade". And I seal the lenses on anyway.
Re: Front running lights Reply #17 – November 29, 2016, 01:16:48 pm I found, by calling Peterson Manufacturing, that Lu's Lighthouse, in a neighboring city has the clearance lights I need. Due to a minor medical problem, the project will get shelved for awhile. I let every know how it turns out. Thanks for the help.
