Wi-Fi Signal Booster
I'm getting ready to go to Mexico for the winter, and the RV park where I stay has everything EXCEPT electricity.  I park right up on the beach, and enjoy the view.

My only "complaint" is that to access the Wi-Fi, I have to be within about 20 feet or so of the office.  I don't need a big "mama-jama" booster - I just need a little "oomph" to boost the signal across the RV lot so I can use the Wi-Fi in my RV.  It's obviously a trade off - park near the office for Wi-Fi in my rig, OR choose the "beach view."  Uh, I choose the beach view!   ;)

At any rate, I thought this was worth a try:
BearExtender PC - Increase & Improve Weak WiFi Signal Range - USB WiFi...

At the RV park I stay in, sometimes the signal pops up (and most likely not).  I just wanted something to give the signal a push (and actually bought the 2013 version for less than 1/2 the price on eBay.

Does anyone use a Wi-Fi extender in RV parks?

For a few years, I used something called Wi-Fire.  It is a small, directional antenna that plugs into a USB port.  It worked pretty dramatically, but several OS upgrades back, it stopped working with a Mac OS.  It may work wit PC's.  You can read a review at Wi-Fire long-range WiFi adapter hands-on and impressions  I note that Amazon shows it not in stock with no idea when it will be available.

It worked nicely with several generations back of Operating System for my Mac.  I have no idea if it will work with a PC or if it is still available.

Disappointed to hear the Wi-Fire isn't keeping up with the Mac OSs.  I have one kicking around that my son used early in college.  It worked very well there.  Maybe I'll keep around an old Mac and use it to relay wi-fi in the LD.  I know you can do it from wired-to-wireless.  Have to see if you can do it wireless-to-wireless, or wireless-to-bluetooth.  Something to play with.
