Congratulations!

Resealing the end caps and roof is not as bad as it seams (get it?). Mine had 24 year old original sealant, it looked as you describe, like amber, and stored indoors, it was still somewhat pliable and completely functional.

I pulled it all off using a multi cutter tool like this  RYOBI Tools With the putty knife attachment.  Well, actually about four of those attachments. I used 3M 4200 around the junk on the roof, and Eternabond along the roof seems. All very satisfying.

I would not let anyone but the factory or myself do my endcaps. Well, maybe Larry. These are a tedious job, but if they don't need to be removed, not very difficult. At least to me.

Plenty of how tos here to get you going.

3Bosons,
Congratulations on your new Lazy Daze!

As for the overhead bunk cushion, my wife and I have used two Thermorest Dream Time mattresses in our camper and our little fishing boat for years.  They are a little pricey, but they are really comfortable.  Also, you can move them from one place to another and adjust the firmness easily.  When my wife's back bothers her, I bring her Dream Time into the house and she sleeps on it on top of our regular mattress in our bedroom.

Have fun with your new rig!

Never mind that.. Good luck. Your next challenge was my biggest concern... I know a 4000 Onan will drive that A/C unit but they are 3k online plus installation...

Best of Luck

Keep searching and the right one will come along, all told I spent over a year on the hunt. And honestly the one we were half way to Fresno to buy when the owner called to say sorry I just sold it (even though you're on the road per appointment) was a better deal, the maintenance on that one was impeccable and fewer miles. So win some lose some. Good luck with the hunt.
