Thank you for that posting.  I had been checking everyday with the same old ones.  Today, a possibility!
I emailed the man selling the 2006 mid-bath for $44,000 and asked about the age of the tires. He hasn't used it much in recent years and he purchased tires in 2009,  they have 5000 miles on them but he stored his LD in a garage the whole time except for one week trips every year. What is your take?

Marciebp,

The tires may not have many miles, but they're old.  I'd plan on replacing the complete set if I were thinking of buying this coach.

Type in 'old tires' in the search bar for plenty of discussion on the subject.

One would have to say that this LD is promising.  My general guidance as I have previously posted when buying a used RV is as follows.

If you are able to have this LD inspected or surveyed by an RV Inspector.   A good survey will include an inspection of the roof to the basement and front to back.  You should know if there were any leaks, repairs, or missing parts and equipment.  A good survey will include checking all the coach appliances, air conditioner, heater, water heater, propane tank, and so forth.  A good survey should include someone crawling on the roof and underneath the RV.  This kind of survey should cost somewhere around $300 but may not include a complete engine, transmission, brake, etc inspection.  However, a test drive and close examination of the maintenance records should give you some information about the truck's mechanical health.  Ask the owner to show you the maintenance and service records and determine the date of the tires and dates of all the batteries.

If the LD has been stored under a cover or inside, then that's a big advantage.  If this LD has been properly serviced and not abused, then the Coach part of the LD should be rock solid since it's one of the strongest in the industry.  And if the truck part was properly serviced, then less to worry about.

Hope this helps and please keep us in the loop as you move forward on your LD plans.
