3000 miles, 21 days journey update
We started on Aug 29 for our trip to the Florida Keys. We snagged a couple of reservations in the state parks in December, and have family all over the place we like to visit.

Every camp has been great, except the one we paid $40 for at a casino in Carson Valley. The Forest service and BLM camps have been outstanding.

Today we had to drive through a forest fire on AZ 260, just as the road was re-opened. The fire fighters were hard at it, and we thank them! Those fires (two along our route today) kept us from camping where we planned, but we ended up at Fool Hollow National Recreation Area State Park. Once we were done being confused by the agency salad, we ended up next to a lake full of active bass, listening to elk bugle. Good day in the end.

Interesting side note- the GPS routing sent us down 2 dead end roads on the way into the park, but not the right entrance road. Following us into each dead end? A Tom Tom mapping car. Maybe they will get it corrected soon.

We had an ignitor for the fridge fail, and had to have the rear brake drums turned to correct for some slight warping. Our route is back roads, with as many mountain passes as we can work in. Not bad for a 24 year old rig.
