Is That RV New?
We continue to appreciate it when folks stop and ask if our LD is new ... Like tonight at a SP on Lake Ray Roberts in Texas.  And all the questions with an occasional smile, nod, and sigh.  Of course, we're never too busy to help.  And so it goes.

Todays comment from a Burnsville Hitch tech...

"This is one of the first RVs they ever made, isn't it?"

When our house was in escrow and we were getting the buyer requested repairs done, one of the contractors saw the SK-POD in the driveway and mentioned that he loved camping and that he, too, had a vintage RV that he was restoring. I offered him a tour, and he was very complimentary on how perfect it looked for its age.

"It should, it's barely a year old," I said, then explained the whole Lazy Daze "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy. Good times.

Or the person, pumping gas next to you, comments on what a nice restoration job you did...on your nearly new LD.
"How old is it anyway?"
You get all types.

Now add a couple sea kayaks, on top, for even more interesting conversions. "How do you get them up there?".
I get bored pumping gas, as it can take a very long time, so I'm always game for some interesting talk with my fellow patrons.

;)  "Did it cost a lot to have that old motorhome restored? It looks really good!" "I've never seen an RV painted like that; is it from the 40s?" (No, that's me.) And, the inevitable, "You drive it all by yourself?" (Well, yes; the dog simply refuses to learn how.)

Joan said, "the inevitable, "You drive it all by yourself?" (Well, yes; the dog simply refuses to learn how.) "  Outloud guffaw...fortunately, nobody to annoy but the staff here at McD's.   ;D

I was thinking of having my dad's cattle horn wired in, but perhaps Helen Reddy on a loop, with a handheld remote: I Am Woman, Hear Me Roar!   I think I like it even better now than I did in 1972.  ;D
