Fuel Capacity and Storage August 14, 2016, 09:55:26 am Does anyone know the amount of fuel the 26 mid bath carries and does anyone have an estimate on the cubic feet of external storage available?
Re: Fuel Capacity and Storage Reply #1 – August 14, 2016, 10:56:23 am You'll find a ton of answers to almost all of your questions about LD's here...The Lazy Daze CompanionGo to the bottom of the page and click on "the web version".And at the Lazy Daze web page here...Motorhome Dealer | Low Profile Motorhome | RV Manufacturer | Quality Motorhome Just click on the image and all LD has is there.Granted that your year and model may not be an exact match to the info available, but it's a great source of information. (I hope the links open for you, sometimes I don't get this just right)Others here may be able to give you a more direct answer to your question.Enjoy the read,Kent
Re: Fuel Capacity and Storage Reply #2 – August 14, 2016, 12:32:41 pm It varies with year/chassis, and layout within the MB. Can you give more specifics? I see you have a Twin King? Are you making a comparison? The LD Companion that Kent referred you to has a lot of accurate information. Like the LD manual, it bears reading and re-reading. My ,92 E350 fuel tank is rated to be 36 gal. I would go out and measure all my compartments, but I just emptied, cleaned and repacked them yesterday.
Re: Fuel Capacity and Storage Reply #3 – August 14, 2016, 03:11:14 pm Ok, I found that the new LDs have a 55 gallon fuel tank. I did not find any info on the cubic feet of outside storage.
Re: Fuel Capacity and Storage Reply #4 – August 14, 2016, 03:35:32 pm funpilot, the storage compartments vary by year, model and configuration. In older LDs the boxes were made by LD out of plywood so they were tailored to the space available. Are you looking to build a data base, or comparing models, or do you have a specific unit in mind? I don't mind rooting around in mine and measuring the compartments, but if it is of no help to your cause I will spend the time finishing packing. Will my 1992 26-½ MB on the old (narrow) E350 chassis, with the barrel chairs in the the lounge option help you? You mention the new LDs have a 55 gallon fuel tank, so I infer you are interested in data from some year newer than '92, and on an E450 chassis?
Re: Fuel Capacity and Storage Reply #5 – August 14, 2016, 04:37:43 pm Funpilot,Here is a link to Andy's 1985 22' but like Paul said...it may not fit your situation.I do recall quite a lengthy discussion of storage space dimensions shorty before the bail from Yahoo. You may be able to fish around the "Yahoo Archives" to get more accurate data.At any rate...here is Andy's link: Gertie: a guided tourBest of luck finding what you want.Kent
