Socializing in New Mexico July 27, 2016, 02:02:41 pm My wife Barbara and I have now been into our new full-time lifestyle for about 3 months now. Two months have been here in northern New Mexico. For the most part, it has been quite exciting and rewarding but lately we have realized that we miss that one element that we had back in Ohio, in our stick built home; socializing with others.The two of us get along great, mind you, but interactions and conversations with other like-minded people sure would be nice from time to time. So I am putting this out there for all of you other LD owners, especially those who live in and around northern NM or plan on coming this way anytime soon; We'd love to meet you!To make that a bit more possible, below is our current, up-to-date itinerary. We don't know where we'll be going after then but don't let that stop you from contacting us. We have a home on wheels and a calendar to boot! :-)Our schedule - just that we'll be in the Taos, Eagle Nest/Angel Fire, Coyote Creek State Park area until just after Labor Day.We're 56 and 63 (she's the youngster) and have a variety of interests, compassions and obsessions. I'm pretty sure we can hold a good conversation and we'd love to learn about your interests, hopes and dreams as well.So, if you're the least bit interested in helping to ease this missing part of our full-time RVing lifestyle, give us a holler and we'll get back with you as soon as we can. We are a bit reclusive, so we may over-respect others' privacy. I will keep your invite in mind when we travel. We will be on the road for a few months beginning in Sept, but not to NM till next spring.

"Same place(s); different times. We are planning for a post-Labor Day excursion as far as we can get up I-25 in New Mexico, landing for a while in Santa Fe, with side trips to the places you mention. That is a lot of what LDO is all about.Keep us in mind when you learn something new or do something silly. I'd say we are all ears but mostly eyes (unless some of us can't find their reading glasses). LDO is a great way to become acquainted with like minds. We "thought" we'd be the reclusive type who want to be left alone but time is proving otherwise I think. About the only real interaction we're having with others is when another camper stops us outside to ask "How old is your RV?". It's always fun to share info on our rig but it never goes further than that for some reason. Anyway, it was worth a try. I did post a similar request on RVillage so we'll see what happens there as well. Thanks for the input and really... if you ever do see us... 2004 30'LD named "La Casita", don't hesitate in knocking.
