Re: Ford V10 Recall Reply #1 – July 03, 2016, 12:03:53 pm From the link you provided. "It's recall 15E05"This is not a link to a the TSB number, the one you need to look up a recall. With Google, it took me a minute to find this.Technical Service Bulletins - Ford-Trucks.comIf you own a E450, and it has a recall, Ford should contact you. Many cars today have issues that require reflashing of the computer, I wouldn't stay up nights worrying.Larry
Re: Ford V10 Recall Reply #2 – July 03, 2016, 01:17:33 pm The TSB says it's for the F Super Duty. Is the V-10 in the F-Series the same exact engine as the E-Series (I know the diesel engine is different)?
Re: Ford V10 Recall Reply #3 – July 03, 2016, 01:46:20 pm I took a quick look at the iRV link and it reminded me of something I got from Ford a few months ago.I was asked if I would like to make $500. Who wouldn't? It was a simple task of filling out the form and be chosen to have my E450 entered into a study of its emissions system. Suppose to be a quick in and out at a local Ford Service Center.I never did fill out the form so I'm not certain of what it was all about. Makes me wonder though. Especially when the word is out about the discontinuation of the E450 Cutaway.Just curious now if anyone here signed up for the survey.Prepping for Zion next week. Kent 1 Likes

KentKent, just curious: It's going to be hot in Zion N Pk this time of year. Is this the only time you could go? We were there in Oct. a year ago and it was delightful.Chris 1 Likes
Re: Ford V10 Recall Reply #5 – July 03, 2016, 07:07:40 pm Hi Chris,We went to Zion on our Maiden Voyage last November and you're right it was beautiful then. My wife really wanted to go to Yosemite, but getting in the Valley in July is next to impossible. So I booked Zion. In anticipation of the 90 to 100 degree heat, I made insulated vent inserts out of polyurethane foam (cushion material 2" thick). Used windshield bubble foil to reflect the heat on top of the foam. We have snap on vent covers from the Mothership as well. Also booked a site with shade so we'll see how it all pans out. I told my DW it was going to be HOT but she's okay with that. Looks like the AC will get a workout. With all that being said, I'm still keeping my eye out for openings in the Valley. We'll give it a go anyway. Planning on morning and evening outings to try to avoid the hottest time of the day. The campground is fully booked so we won't be the only ones to take the plunge.May be a truly once in a lifetime adventure.Kent 1 Likes
