Windshield Cover
Looking for recommendations of a windshield cover.  I've been hearing good things about the see thru type.   What is the august opinion of the board?

The 'see-through' covers are available for inside or outside use, and we prefer the inside type, which can be comfortably installed and removed in any weather. Ours uses suction cups. Beware of fabric color! All of them will reduce daytime visibility outside to in, but some colors greatly reduce visibility when inside too. Dark colors or black are best, probably because light reflects from the inside of light colored fabrics.

We have used a Sunguard windshield cover for many years and like it lot, especially the ability see out but the outsiders cannot see in (except at night, of course). Our LD's cover is snow white, with a 94% sun block. It works well to reflect the heat, without blocking the view from inside. The white cover  looks good with the Ford white

When setting up camp, fitting the cover it is one of the first things I do.

As for the solid vinyl cover, that came with our LD, it's still sitting a bag, buried somewhere in the garage, have to seen it in years.  Totally worthless.

My LD has the solid cover.  I use it when I put the RV away for a long period of time or when the whole family goes camping, which is often.  The solid cover hides the outdoor and all that moves in the outdoors from the dogs.  That goes a long way to keeping them quiet when we are away (short trips only).

The down side is the cover hides the great outdoors and all that moves in the great outdoors.  I don't bring it out if I am solo camping unless I am in a very crowded location (beach, KOA, or the like).

We bought the solid cover with the rig.  Only 22K miles so far, and we normally use it if we are stopped for more than just overnight.  The only time we used it on an overnight stay was last Feb in Hawthorne NV when the overnight temp was 15F. That and a couple of afgans draped from the closets did pretty well to keep the chill out.    We would do it again.

YMMV
