Is the relief valve the same that you can buy at Home Depot or is it a unique size that you have to pick up at an RV parts place?

I'd get the number of the pressure relief valve from the exploded parts chart in the Atwood water heater literature that came in the owner's packet and order the OEM replacement part from an RV supply place.

As ever, YMMV.

Jim-

May I ask why you're looking at replacing the relief valve?

If it drips, it may be because the air pocket in the heater has gotten too small. Atwood has a bulletin on how to restore the air pocket:

There's also an article on leaking valves on the Lazy Daze Companion:

I apologize in advance if I'm telling you things you already know.

I had looked at the LD companion first. What started this was flushing the hot water heater and opening the valve. Apparently, the valve didn't seat properly or got trash in it.

Since I posted yesterday I tried flipping it open/closed a few times and now it appears to have stopped leaking.

Thanks for the answers.
