VZ military discount

As previously discussed here, VZ offers a nice discount for military veterans. You can apply on-line but the process isn't very clear at all. I had a VZ employee walk me through it.

Start here:

Select the Get Started Today red button. Go through the log-in procedure to get to your account.
Select Validate by pay stub.
Under Employer Information, Employer Name,  enter the appropriate branch of service. Army, Navy, etc.
For the Employers address, use your VZ mailing address You will then be asked to provide a copy of a recent pay stub. Take a picture of your DD-214. That's your "pay stub".  Why VZ couldn't simply explain this convulted  procedure escapes me, but they don't.
Upload the photo of your DD-214 then you should get a confirmation page.

The aggravation is worth the 15% savings.

For what it's worth, I took my DD214 to a nearby full service Verizon Center and their Customer Service was able to enroll me in this 15% Discount Program.  Twas' fairly painless as compared to how some of these things seem to go in the modern era.
