Life Expectancy for LED Lights

I've read about every post on LED lights on this forum from the last 4-5 years.  I understand that the M4 LED lights are considered excellent but a bit expensive.   We could spring for the M4 lights to replace 4-6 of our 1141 bulbs, but I'd like to know the normal life expectancy for an $11 LED light.  It just breaks my heart to spend more than $70 for lights!!  We'd be grateful for your guidance.

I totally replaced all bulbs in my 2003 RB in 2014 with M4 products and paid 89.90 for 10 1141 bulbs to include postage. They are solid state diodes and should outlast your LD!  I also replaced all of my tube lights with their LED tubes and I am extremely happy. Very little draw on my batteries and great light!

Hello Fred and thank you for your guidance.  If they will outlast the LD, then good news.  Do you remember if you bought the cool, natural or warm level of brightness?  I'm thinking we'd probably want the natural one.

Best I can remember I bought mainly natural: However, I did get the brightest I could for over the stove and over the sink in the lol.
For the tubes I bought different brightness' based on location.  I remember that I bought the brightest that was available for over the sink.
FYI - My Snowbird neighbor bought all his bulbs from WalMart on a piecemeal basis. A little cheaper in price and quality, but he's happy!

We had completely converted our '83 to LED interior lights a couple years before we got our '04 in 2012. We transferred over all the LEDs and bought more to upgrade that one too. To date, not a single element failure in any of the bulbs, and that includes turret models for the 1141's, a few bi-pin units, some spots, and LED strips for the fluorescents. I prefer warm-white, so that is the color I used 2700K - 3000K.
