All Weather Mats January 21, 2016, 08:19:49 pm Yahoo Message Number: 158263I saw the following post at http://www.irv2.com/forums/f87/e350-450-floor-mats-276787.html#post2909378. So I went to the Amazon website and read some of the comments about these mats which were very good IMO. Several people with E450 RVs said they were a perfect fit or nearly so. So I ordered a gray color set for $36.98. They look like they'd be better than what we have now. Btw, they come in black, tan, or gray. I'll do a follow-up post after we receive them, which should be Saturday.Ed & Margee Fort Worth

And for $36.97 a very good price IMO. They are made of heavier material, but the material is softer than one might expect. I posted a picture in the photo section. We couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. And so it goes.Ed & Margee Fort Worth

Re: All Weather Mats Reply #5 – January 24, 2016, 08:02:07 am Yahoo Message Number: 158305I did not see E-450 offered as an option on the Amazon site. What body style / Trim / etc. options did you select for your mats? Thanks much!Randy
Re: All Weather Mats Reply #6 – January 24, 2016, 08:18:25 am Yahoo Message Number: 158306We ordered the E350 mats based on many Amazon comments like the following."Yes, they fit the Ford E-series vans through 2015. Once again, Amazon does not update the product fit to the year of the vehicle. These were purchased on the basis of other reviewers. We have a 2014 Ford E-450 RV chassis and they do fit-perfectly. They are pliable, have channels to catch and hold moisture from running off the mats and are value priced. One review indicated a distinct odor. Ours had a very minimal odor that was unnoticeable in the RV. Packaging was excellent. There is a molded tag on the rear of each mats that the instructions say to cut off. This is not necessary. Highland mats are an excellent choice."Another - "We ordered these mats for our 2015 Forester 3011DS (Ford E450) and they fit well! I saw another reviewer had ordered these for an E450 Ford chassis RV so I took a chance they would fit our new RV. They fit fine and we are pleased. Just wish we could find a mat for the area between the seats!"I hope this helps.Ed & Margee Fort Worth
Re: All Weather Mats Reply #7 – January 24, 2016, 09:32:35 am Yahoo Message Number: 158307Two more options for all-weather floor mats are these:https://www.huskyliners.com/http://www.weathertech.com/I put Husky floor liners in my 2003 very soon after taking delivery; they're still in great condition despite over 12 years of mud, dirt, leaves, dog hair, sand, gravel, and whatever else I've tracked into the cab. "Care" is taking them out for a periodic hose-down.AFAIK, the fit listed for the E-350 (Econoline series) still works for the E-450.As ever, YMMV.Joan
Re: All Weather Mats Reply #8 – January 24, 2016, 11:55:04 am Yahoo Message Number: 158310I installed a set of the Husky floor liners about the same time as Joan, in 2003. I love being able to get and out of the cab, in wet, muddy weather without damaging the mats in the least. A quick rinse cleans then up quickly. Except from some minor scuffing, they look fine at 93,000 miles. https://www.flickr.com/photos/lwade/albums/72157625135070156Larry

The things are not cheap, but they're virtually indestructible. I bought a set for my Honda Fit, too.One source of Husky products is www.autoanything.com ; they carry the full line of Husky mats and liners for many vehicles.Joan
Re: All Weather Mats Reply #10 – January 24, 2016, 05:05:43 pm Yahoo Message Number: 158325Husky has a new design, in addition to their original "diamond plate" design. Has anyone bought the newer design? I had their original in a 1995 Grand Cherokee for the last 12 years I owned the vehicle. They held up well.Dale

Re: All Weather Mats Reply #12 – January 24, 2016, 07:47:40 pm Yahoo Message Number: 158333Thanks, Joan. I can see from Larry's photos that he uses the original design. I thought the ridges in the new design might help with muddy shoes.DaleMini
Re: All Weather Mats Reply #13 – January 25, 2016, 08:18:18 am Yahoo Message Number: 158338Dale, I would have preferred the "ridgeless" floor liners for the car because the ridges *do* catch mud and debris; to clean the liners, one has to use a vacuum or remove the mats completely to shake and/or hose them off. The driver's side Husky mats in the car have hooks to keep them in place, which makes them a little more difficult to remove and replace. The old liners in the truck/rig with the original crosshatch pattern can be swept with a whisk broom and dustpan because the surface is "flat". I usually just pull the truck mats out to clean (no hooks) but sometimes a quick sweep out "lick and a promise" is all they get.Either pattern works well; they're pricey, but they will probably outlast whatever vehicle one puts them in. ;-)Joan
Re: All Weather Mats Reply #14 – January 25, 2016, 08:59:43 pm Yahoo Message Number: 158352Thanks again, Joan. I wasn't thinking about the mud deposits collecting in the valleys between the ridges. Since our Colorado mud is mostly clay, that would make cleaning extra difficult. I think I'll stick with the original design. These will be for my towed Jeep Cherokee, which will be much more likely to experience mud than my LD.Dale
