Looking for some suggestions on how to store fruit. We presently have our bananas, oranges, onions, etc stacked on top of each other in a colander sitting on the counter by the sink. It is always in the way, so we are moving it to the table or someplace out of the way. Is there a way to keep it off the counter and of course not in the fridge. Thanks John from Oregon now in San diego.

Don't have a pic, but I screwed a sturdy hook under a kitchen cabinet out of the way that holds a wicker basket with integral handle. We set it on a stable surface for travel, then back on the hook in camp. Easily supports several pounds of fruit.

I entered   produce bins stackable   into Google images, and got a whole lotta possibilities.  Click on the underlined text below.  Maybe you will get the same results.  If not, just type it into a blank format request.

We aren't the only ones. Only one good suggestion...and it wouldn't work for us.  the produce hammock we have was mentioned but the writer hadn't hung it yet

I have that hammock and have hung it without the long wooden dowel. It works well for certain things. I think I got it at Camping World.

Onions are my biggest bogey. To my stunned surprise, hanging them up in their mesh bag on the coat hook inside the closet is the best place to put them. They don't go bad and they don't smell. Grapes we put into the freezer.

A trick out of the boating world is to use a mesh bag or a small hammock type configuration. Self adjusts for capacity and does not rattle. Needs to be hung from something.

I like the hook and basket idea. Going to try that as soon as I find a suitable basket.

Here's one similar to one that hung for years in the rear of my VW camper (my cat loved it - got him away from the dog) and recent review from someone who uses in an RV (I'm gonna order).

This is one of the best purchases I have made for our camper. It hangs over the dinette holding snacks and paper cups and napkins. It stays sturdy during travel. It is an awesome little hammock. Thank you
