External Thermostat-Controlled Air Conditioning Automatic Fan Contro

When did LD start to install AC units that are controlled by a wall thermostat instead of the controls on the AC unit itself?

And, do the newer units have an Auto Fan function that turns the AC fan on and off depending on whether the AC compressor is running?

Has anyone installed one of these newer units in an older LD? In older LDs, the fan runs all the time when the unit is on. It makes no difference if the AC compressor is running or not.

Kevin, our '09 has a wall thermostat and once the temperature is satisfied, the unit shuts down if the auto setting is selected otherwise the fan continues to operate.  Hope this helps.
