New Year's in Death Valley November 26, 2015, 02:25:20 pm Yahoo Message Number: 157238I was just reading some postings on another RV site (how disloyal of me!) and I picked up the "news" that the road in/out of Scotty's Castle has been closed for repairs. Apparently a flood came through the area and washed out the road. If that was in someone's plans, please research further and adjust accordingly!TinaP Las Cruces, NM...where it has been raining!

"Most" of the roads are back open, but not all and Mesquite Springs Campground, where we always stay when visiting DVNP, is still closed, too. For those of you on Facebook, "Like" the Death Valley National Park Road Conditions page to keep up with information on road closures and openings. If you're not on Facebook, you can go to the Morning Report on the NPS's DVNP website -- www.nps.gov/deva . Linda Hylton
