Dometic Fridge November 11, 2015, 11:00:51 am Yahoo Message Number: 156928I noticed that Lazy Daze uses a Dometic fridge in all their models. Is it a 2-way (Gas or 110V) or 3-way (Gas, 110V & 12VDC) unit? Also how has its performance and reliability been? It seems that RV makers have been switching to Norcold fridges in recent years because of glitch's with Dometic in terms of maintaining cold temps and issues in switching between the different modes of power.

Re: Dometic Fridge Reply #4 – November 11, 2015, 12:19:12 pm Yahoo Message Number: 156933Thanks to all who have responded. I should have mentioned that the so called problems with cooling and issues dealing with switching between operation modes (prompting error codes) seems to be related to newer units...within the last 3-4 years.Sounds like the older units did not have any problems. Thanks again.

Re: Dometic Fridge Reply #6 – November 11, 2015, 01:11:45 pm Yahoo Message Number: 156936I had a problem with mine. Turned out to be the clip that holds the sensor to the fins in the back on the fridge was cracked. Replaced the part (thanks Joan for the link) and all was fine last trip. We are going on a longer trip the week of Thanksgiving and the fridge will be more packed. This winter I may have the unit serviced. I started to take it apart earlier this fall but some parts did not want to cooperate. Rather than get a bigger hammer I will let a pro take a look. Mainly want the burner cleaned and stack blown clean. There is a local place I trust. I will give them the work.
