Another great season comes to a close!

As we wound down our 4th season with Bessie, we were shocked to realize we have put over 22,000 miles on her since purchase in Oct 2012. (We camp about 3 months out of each year). Such a fantastic experience this has been. We see plenty of life left in both Bessie and Freddie and appreciate the groups words of wisdom on many fronts.

This is very true. The entire reason we purchased an RV was to have a box we can heat for 4 seasons.

Depends on where you are. Many in Nevada would say the season is just starting because it's not 104-106 degrees every day like the summer and early fall. If you live in the midwest or east coast things will be different. One of the reasons I moved from New York long ago.

Just starting!  I was getting up to indoor temps in the low 50's in Maine and Vermont a week or so ago.   We were running the air conditioner for a while today in Virginia.  I have been in many places for months but this is the first time I have had rain for much more than a day or two,  with no end in sight.  May be a hurricane headed our way, so we will move probably north or west tommorow.

Yeah, in Minnesota (for all except the snowbirds) the season runs roughly from May 1 through early to mid Oct. (We had to cut ours short this year due to some business concerns). The seasonality of the lifestyle out here definitely keeps it fresh and it's something we look forward to every year (May 1 when we usually take Bessie out of hibernation). We've seen no ill effects from the long term storage (indoors). Go in, start her up, and things are pretty much exactly as we left them. We're lucky - indoor storage is more difficult to find and we haven't had any mice get in. Those wire covers over the furnace and hot water heater vents must be worth their weight in gold and LD doesn't have a lot of cracks or crevasses that I've seen. (Knock on wood)

How do you fit four seasons of use into 3 years?
