A/C oddity

For the first time since full timing, I turned on my A/C.  Following the manual on how to turn it on... no problem.  Let it run - runs magnificently, altho the fan never cycles down. Problem... its frigid in the kitchen, bed area over cab areas. Warm if not downright stuffy in the bathroom and hot in the rear of my rig. Closed shades to block the sun... it just continued to get hotter and hotter in the back of the rig. I'm talking same temperature as outside the rig (80-90ºF).  All windows and vent are closed.

All the vents on the A/C are open, even the little side pockets. You can feel the cold air coming out of all ports on the A/C - a good flow of air.  I don't understand why it is so darn hot in the back of the rig?  Its like a wall is blocking the air flow. Its pretty dramatic change from being under the A/C and taking a step back toward the rear.

Any ideas what is going on?

I have similar issues tho not as bad in our 23.5 TK. All the cold air goes to the front and cabover. We close off the drivers section with a blanket. That helps but no question the air coming out of the ac is much cooler (Much) front than back. I was going to have the techs look at it in august. It's the original 96 ac.

We have a 30 foot IB. Currently relying on AC to survive our new house renovation inRudgecrest Ca.
We have always thought the back bedroom to be difficult to climate control. However. We found some interesting resolutions.

1. The AC is the older classic duotherm and has these black swivel vents that haves helical construction built in. They are deceptively directional. I can feel the breeze hit me sitting at the dinette chair but not as much on the couch across the way.   We can set the rear vent and even FREEZE the bathroom with the door shut. A slight turn and it goes and hits the rear window behind the bed. And so the bathroom is warmer.
2. We set out the fan in the bedroom to circulate. Run hot when sleeping.
3. Keep the shades down and tight. In the 90s the window shades are okay. 100s and the air temp is just as bad so we put reflection between the window and shade.

4. All of these combined keeps the coach in the low 80s or high 70s most of the day. Our afternoons and five o'clock is usually the worst. And then we have help of a shade tree.

In short I think you have to play with it a bit and get the air dancing off the ceiling past the insulated roof vents and down to the far ends of your coach to get max cooling throughout the coach.

It's simple, there is only one output on our 97 TK, which I would assume to pretty close to your unit, and it's routed equally forward and to the rear. The placement of the unit in the roof is closer to the front, and there is considerably less square footage in the front than the rear, so the rear receives the same amount of cooling, but much more to cool. We've removed the swap cooler in the rear, replaced it with a Fan-Tastic 3 speed thermostat controlled unit, removed the old Fan-Tastic fan and installed a domed sky light.  Now the galley is much brighter, and cold air being heavier, and hot air rising to the ceiling, the rear fan on slow pulls the air from the front and helps cool the entire RV more evenly removing thew warmer air at the ceiling. We also do this when driving and the chassis air is on, does a nice job cooling the interior while traveling on the 23.5 TK .

Thanks to all that replied. I have applied my winter mode of camping - it improved the cooling of my rig, but is still hotter than I like. But.. It is preferred over panting cats. For now I  have returned to no a/c.
