Re: Foam Mattress Topper Reply #25 – July 04, 2015, 12:13:35 pm Yahoo Message Number: 153733"Anyone found any mattress topper fitted sheets?"SandyNever seen a pre-made topper sheet and since they come in various size and thicknesses, you most likely will not. Some toppers come with fitted cover but usually the material isn't suitable as a sheet. Finding what you want may be a DIY project, so break out the sewing machine. For the best, longest lasting results, buy very high quality sheets, they will survive longer and be more comfortable. You might try sewing up a topper cover, for use as a bottom sheet, and then attaching the top sheet directly to the base of it. This will make it easier to removed and reinstall, after washing and will help keep the top sheet in place at night. We take a different approach with the topper we use in the overhead bunk. The topper has a polyester fleece sheet covering it, to keep it clean. Next a sleeping bad bottom is placed on top of it. The bag bottom has grommets installed in each corner, which are used to secure it to the corners of the bunk, using cords and small eye screws. This arrangement holds the bottom bag securely in place.. The perimeter of the bottom sleeping bag has velcro sewn around it. The bottom sheet, with the attached top sheet, has Velcro sewn around its perimeter and attaches to the Velcro on the bottom bag.Blankets and the top sleeping bag connect to the grommets at the foot of the bottom bag, using carabiners. This allows the allows the easy addition and subtraction of blankets and different sleeping bag tops, as the seasons dictate. As an winter gift, we have a 12-volt mattress heater placed between the topper and the bottom sleeping bag, so nice for warming the bed on chilly nights. It's worth every amp-hour of battery power used.Larry
Re: Foam Mattress Topper Reply #26 – July 04, 2015, 12:14:07 pm Yahoo Message Number: 153734Sandra, Try calling FoamOnLine.com. (805) 964-2001 They could probably make you one. My original foam topper was covered by them, however that was 10 years ago. It came off for washing by unzipping. It had to be washed by hand or delicate washing machine cycle, then hung out to dry. If you have access to a local seamstress that could be another option. Good luck.bobmoore14

Re: Foam Mattress Topper Reply #28 – July 08, 2015, 12:18:28 pm Yahoo Message Number: 153794Thanks to all. I share the bed with a thrasher so attached sheets & blankets don't work so well. May have to make one as suggested. Or have one made. Been battling for the space for a kids chain stitching sewing machine. This may be the time. Sandy

Re: Foam Mattress Topper Reply #31 – July 24, 2015, 03:14:09 pm Yahoo Message Number: 154168Joan, Thank you for posting this source of foam. Ordered a new twin size from them with cover. It was cheaper than my old source and looks to be identical in quality. My old topper is falling apart from 4 years of hard use, and sometimes I failed to cover it when roaming the desert. There doesn't seem to be a way to clean it beyond vacuuming with my Ryobi portable.bobmoore14
