Foam a Box Awning June 15, 2015, 01:06:09 pm Yahoo Message Number: 153342I recently lubed the awning with WD40 and have noticed that the red tabs do not come down when it's closed up. Cleaned up all the mechanisms with penetrating oil spray (contains ether) and then relubed with spray white grease. The tab mechanism is free and rotates fine, the awning appears to lock securely but the red tabs do not come down. Any ideas? Jack in Richmond, VA

Re: Fiamma Box Awning Reply #2 – June 15, 2015, 01:41:12 pm Yahoo Message Number: 153345Jack, if you don't get an answer from someone on the forum, you might email Fiamma's technical folks "fiamma1@..." and ask your question. If you do get an answer, please post it. On my original Fiamma awning, the tabs stopped working after 3-4 years. My replacement of 2 yrs ago is working fine. I lost the original to a wind gust.Chris

The red tabs move upwards and disappear, when fully closed. Sounds like yours is working correctly.Larry
Re: Foam a Box Awning Reply #4 – June 15, 2015, 03:11:10 pm Yahoo Message Number: 153347Thanks, Larry. I forgot that's how they work. I have the awing fully extended but the tabs are up. I guess as long as the awning is fully rolled up and no tabs out it is safely locked. Jack
